Optionally the palate fold (palatine rugae) of the original model may be applied to the gingiva.
When selecting this tool an area may be selected on the upper jaw denture that is enclosed by a polyline (1) that may be changed by the user.
The palatine rugae of the original model of the user are modeled onto the defined area when pressing “Apply” (2).
After applying the palate fold, the model looks like the following:
Version 2: Additional to the original palatine rugae of the patient a picture can be used that shows a palatine rugae. This picture is converted into a gray scale picture and used as a depth profile for the palatine rugae.
